Neuromas

Neuromas are often caused because of the deforming forces placed on the metatarsal bones in the foot. This pressure pinches the nerves that run between the bones creating a type of callous around the nerve. Hence, the body is trying to protect the nerve from the friction being placed upon it. The numbness and tingling felt radiating from the neuroma is a result of the pressure placed on the foot bones.
