Frequently Asked Questions
What if I already have my own molds?
If you have you own molds, we can use those molds to create new orthotics for you. Simply call Doctor Direct Orthotics at 866-678-4634 for directions on how to send the molds to us. We will walk you through the process of sending your molds to us.
By the way, we keep your impression molds in case you ever want to order additional orthotics from us in the future.
Do I need a prescription for custom-made orthotics?
No. Our podiatrist is licensed to prescribe orthotics based on the mold of your foot and the questionnaire you will complete. If you have a prescription, enclose a copy of it in your impression mold box when you send it back to us.
What if I am not satisfied with my Doctor Direct Orthotics custom-fitted orthotic?
Our sincere desire is to help you with your foot related problems so we make every effort to help you. In the unlikely event you are not satisfied, simply return your orthotics within thirty (30) days and we will adjust your orthotics or refund you the price of your orthotics (minus the impression fee and shipping and handling). No one else offers this for comparable orthotics.
Who needs Custom Orthotics?
Anyone that suffers from foot pain, ankle pain, knee pain or back pain will usually find relief from a custom orthotic. These ailments are generally related to your feet because that is where it all starts. Movie stars, professional athletes, politicians and thousands more have enjoyed the relief custom orthotics provide.
If you suffer from tired, burning, achy feet or if you experience heel pain, arch pain, neuromas, bunions, hammertoes, tendonitis, shin splints, general fatigue or other related symptoms, we can help.
What materials are used to make the custom orthotic?
Materials used in your custom orthotic completely depend on your lifestyle and how you plan to use the orthotic. For example, a thermoplastic orthotic created for a runner would not work for a woman that needs a thinner orthotic for use in a dress shoe. Hence, materials used vary from carbon fiber to thermoplastics based on how you will use the orthotic. Since orthotics are created for several different needs, many people order more than one orthotic. Just let us know your lifestyle and usage, and we’ll do the rest.
How much is a custom orthotic?
These are the same orthotics you would pay $400-$600 plus your time and trouble to drive to a clinic to get the molds of your feet, etc., Our custom orthotics are only $157.95 plus shipping and handling. We guarantee our orthotics so you have nothing to lose except your pain. Don’t wait any longer. Order your custom-made orthotics today!
Why purchase a custom-made orthotic instead of an over- the-counter orthotic?
You wouldn’t purchase a mouth appliance designed for someone else if you wanted to correct YOUR overbite. You wouldn’t purchase prescription eyeglasses designed for someone else if you want to correct YOUR vision. So why purchase a generic orthotic that is not professionally selected from impressions of YOUR feet to relieve YOUR specific pain?
No two sets of feet are alike. A custom-fit orthotic is molded to fit YOUR foot and relieve YOUR pain!
Why should I purchase from Doctor Direct Orthotics?
At Doctor Direct Orthotics, we believe orthotics must be individually, custom fit. Since no two feet are alike, we make molds of your feet and our experienced staff of licensed podiatrists chooses the best materials and application for your individual needs. As if that wasn’t enough, we do it for the lowest price for comparable products and services. You would pay at least $400 to $600 elsewhere for the same service and product.
How long will my orthotics last?
Lifespan of your custom orthotic depends on your individual lifestyle and wear patterns. The average life span is 10 to 15 years.
How long will it take to get my Doctor Direct Orthotics?
It will only take approximately 7-10 days, depending upon your location, from the time we receive your molds back. This can be less by calling us for expedited shipping, 866.678.4634.
